The Israeli Society for Cytoskeleton and Motility (ISCM) was founded at 2012. Our mission is to promote exchange of knowledge and resources, strong collaboration and open discussions in order to advance the field of cytoskeleton and cell motility in Israel. The cytoskeleton is at the heart of cellular structure, mobility and functionality. Its components, dynamics and regulation provide the platform for diverse functions that are inter-linked through elaborate networks. To grasp the complexity and dynamics of the cytoskeleton, a concerted effort of biophysical, structural and molecular cell research is required. The IFCM aims to gather young and senior researchers across fields in order to create an atmosphere for collaboration and teaching and to strengthen the cytoskeleton and motility research in Israel.
